St Nicholas, Bracon Ash

Warm and Welcoming Traditional Anglican Worship

St Nicholas Church, Bracon Ash is always open and visitors are very welcome to explore this attractive and ancient church. There is room for cars to park on the grass verge outside the church gate. Alternatively the elderly and disabled are welcome to drive up the church path itself, by arrangement with the churchwarden.

There are two services a month.  Morning Prayer is on the first Sunday in the month at 9.00 and Holy Communion is on the third Sunday at 9.00.

Coffee is served every week at 9:15am on Friday, to accompany half an hour of reading the Bible and saying simple prayers together.  All welcome.

The services follow the Traditional Common Worship pattern. Festivals are shared with Hethel Church and the rest of the benefice.  The notice board outside the church is always up to date.

We also hold a Messy Church every school holiday and half term break for children and their families.

Praying Your Goodbyes

A special invitation to anybody who is grieving or has experienced a loss over lockdown.

Mulbarton Church will remain open during daylight hours throughout the summer break, and we are making a special set of resources available for people to come and pray their goodbyes.  You may have said goodbye to a loved one over lockdown, or you may be grieving a loss of another kind.  Your local church is here to provide space for you to respond to these inevitable but unwelcome goodbyes.

  • Palm crosses to hang on the church railings in memory
  • Candles to light inside the church in memory
  • Space in the church for private prayer &/or stillness
  • Printed resources available to browse in the church
  • Online resources signposted to help in your grief journey

On Sunday 22 Aug, we will gather the palm crosses, which will have collected on the railings and pray over them in the morning service, inviting God to help with all the loss they represent.

Adrian leads us in a reflection on Jesus' enigmatic words to the Jews who were seeking a sign, about him being the "bread of life".  We welcome Gabriel into the family of the church, as he begins his journey of faith.
